Getting Started with Your Ledger Wallet

Step 1: Unbox Your Ledger Device

Upon receiving your Ledger device, open the package carefully. Inside, you’ll find everything you need to get started:

• The Ledger hardware wallet
• A USB cable to connect your device to your computer
• A recovery sheet to write down your unique 24-word recovery phrase
• A user manual for easy setup

Step 2: Connect Your Ledger to Your Computer

If you're starting fresh, select the “Set up as a new device” option to proceed with your setup.

Step 4: Write Down Your 24-Word Recovery Phrase

This recovery phrase is critical. It’s your backup in case your Ledger device is lost, damaged, or stolen. Here’s how to protect it:

• Write down all 24 words from the device in the exact order provided.
• Store the recovery sheet in a safe, secure location—preferably offline and fireproof.
• Never share this phrase with anyone. It’s the key to restoring your wallet.

Ledger will ask you to confirm the recovery phrase by selecting each word in the correct order, ensuring you’ve written it down correctly.

Step 5: Install Ledger Live

Ledger Live is the companion app for your Ledger device. It’s how you manage your cryptocurrencies. To get started:

• Download Ledger Live from the official Ledger website (https://www.ledger.com).
• Follow the installation instructions for your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
• Launch Ledger Live, and when prompted, connect your Ledger device via USB.
